I feel like recently I've been going through hair products like water and it's a bittersweet feeling to me lol. I love emptying products because it means I get to open new ones but for some products I feel like I didn't get to love them long enough. Oh well, I guess I'll have to get over it. Let's get to it!

Infusium 23 Color Defender Leave In Treatment -  I did not use this leave in on myself so I cannot give any personal experience on this product but I did use it on my clients as a leave in after I rinsed their deep conditioner out and before I would blowdry. I liked the way it made their hair feel extremely soft afterwards. I have another bottle that I've already started but once that's done I don't think I'll be buying anymore of them after that one is gone.

Mielle Organics Mint Almond Oil - I use this oil when I use the LOC method with the rest of the Mielle Organics products. This is the only time I use this oil because it has proven to work really well with the rest of the products so I feel like why change it? I don't like the mint smell but it gets covered up when you use the rest of the products in the line.

Mielle Organics Babassu Oil Conditioning Sulfate-Free Shampoo - This is the only product from Mielle that I hate. And I really wish I liked it. I've tried it a million different times and this shampoo and my hair do not like each other. I have maybe two or three more bottles of this to go through but I have not bought this in a while and I don't plan on buying it ever again. It made my hair feel dry and it took a lot of conditioner to get it to stop feeling dry. I don't discourage anyone from using this though because it was only my hair that felt like this. When all my friends used it they all had great results. I might just give my last few bottles to them.

Wella Brilliance Leave-In Balm - I use this on my clients before I blow dry their hair and it leaves their hair so soft and smooth before a flatiron. It has an amazing smell that all my clients love and me too. It's kind of a citrus type smell. I have one more bottle that I've already started and if I run out before I start my no buy again then I'll get two more bottles because this stuff is the best, hands down!

Lee Stafford's Hair Growth Treatment - So remember how I said I was tired of this stuff and couldn't wait to finish it up? Yeah I've changed my mind again lol. I'm back to loving these and am trying to figure out if I want to go buy two more. I still have not seen any signs of growth with this treatment but the way it makes my hair feel is amazing. Maybe my hair has adjusted to it because I've been using it for so long or maybe my hair just needed some extra love because I've recently bleached it but I'm loving this again.

Good Afternoon lovelies!

So I just counted all the products I used up in my year of no buy and the results are terrible. I only used up 21 body products and 31 hair products. Which brings my total of body products down to 281 and my hair products down to 172. Now that's just from what I've used minus the original number. That's not including the products in the giveaway I won or the products I've already bought since my no-buy is over. I'll start another year of no-buy when I can get a count of my total products. I will continue to do empties though and product reviews. Thanks for joining me on my journey and I hope you guys stay with me on my next journey.

Empties #18!

Of course around the time of the end of my no-buy is when I start to slack off but it just so happened to be around the time of me moving into my first apartment and starting school. Now that I'm settled in and school has started and I have my schedule down I can get back to blogging. So these are the last things I used up before the no-buy was over. I was really excited because I used them all up in the same week and days before it was over. Let's jump in!

Shea Moisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil Strengthen & Grow Restorative Serum - I am an oil freak because I use them for my overnight pre-poos. For those who don't know what a pre-poo is, it's when you put oil or some type of conditioner all over your hair before you shampoo. You can either leave it on a little before you wash your hair or overnight. I choose to do overnight because that's when I've noticed the best results. The purpose of the pre-poo is to keep as much moisture in your hair as possible when washing so your hair won't be so dry when you're done. I liked this mixed with my olive oil. It smelled great and gave me great results. I would definitely repurchase.

DevaCurl One Condition - Now this one I haven't completely used up because since it was a sample size I just poured it into my conditioner bottle with a pump. I've only used some of it so far and I can honestly say I like it. I don't love it yet because I haven't used enough of it but I like it. I would definitely use it in a full size bottle which I actually think I have around somewhere. 

Lee Stafford Hair Growth Treatment - You guys already know that I loved this at first but now I'm ready for it to be done. I actually used up another one so I'm down to my last two! You guys don't understand how happy I will be to get rid of this. But knowing me I still might buy a few more later on just to see if my hair just needs a break from them.

Bath & Body Works Be Enchanted Body Lotion - This is my second favorite scent from Bath and Body Works and I have a million of them stashed away because every time they go on sale during the semi-annuals sales I buy about 5 each of the lotion and body wash. If you have not smelled them before then you need to try and get your hands on one during the semi-annual because other than that they are online and you have to order them. The scent description is "A sparkling blend of iced pomegranate, sugared petals and chilled passionfruit frosted with notes of whipped vanilla and light musk." It is one of the best scents Bath and Body Works has come out with and if they ever stopped selling it I just might cry.

Caress Velvet Bliss Body Wash - I love Caress body wash and I love this scent. This is my favorite one but this is one that they have discontinued so whenever I run out I always have to go buy some off of Amazon and I always buy it in a 3 pack so that I don't have to buy them every time I run out. If you never got to use this scent then I'm sorry but if you want to try it then go to Amazon there are plenty of people selling them. I don't know how to describe the scent but it's kind of similar to the Be Enchanted smell but a little bit more fruity.

Good morning loves! I ran out of a lot since the last time I blogged but to keep this blog from being too long I only chose three things so let's get started!

Lily Blossom Air Body Scrub - I use a body scrub everyday and it keeps my skin soft and up to par and my body scrubs of choice are from Bath and Body Works of course because they all come in a squeeze tube. As you all know I have a problem with sticking my hands into products lol so I try to use as many things where I won't have to do that. So the scrubs from Bath and Body Works are perfect for that. This one smelled like "crisp green pear, fresh gardenia and narcissus leaf, with whispers of crisp mandarin vapor and white musk". I didn't really like this one because it smelled too much like outside lol. I like fruity smells and this was not fruity at all it was grassy and I would have known that if I had read the description lol. So if you like flowery smells then this is for you!

Mielle Organics Honey Dew Berry Co-wash - Is there any need for me to write about this one anymore? I've gone through so many of them that you guys should already know how I feel about this product. I love it I use a million of these and I will probably use a million more.

Sebastian Whipped Creme - I used this as like a blow dry cream and it was great but I've been using this for about 2 years now and I'm going to try and use the actual blow dry creams I have so I can get rid of some stuff. I recommend this to every one it was great and has a nice, light smell to it.

Good afternoon everyone! It's empties time again! Unfortunately I only have one empty today and I think it's because I have a weave in now so I'm not using as many hair products as I would if my hair were out. So until about the beginning of September my empties might be a little slow. Anyways, let's get right to it!

Dove Cucumber & Green Tea Scent Body Wash - I love this body wash so much! I had to stop myself from buying 10 more of them, it's that amazing. When I'm able to buy again I will most definitely be getting this line in every scent because they all look like they smell amazing! This body wash leaves your skin moisturized and soft and the smell lingers on your body for a while. If you have never used this body wash i highly recommend you do! You'll be hooked!

Good Evening loves! I've missed you guys, did you miss me? Don't worry I know you did ;). Anyways, it's empties time! Let's jump right in!

Love Express Body Lotion - This lotion gave me a nice smooth feel to my skin and my skin felt so soft BUT it smelled like straight chemicals. I did not smell it before I bought it because I really only bought it to get more points on my Express Next account and I didn't use it until recently but OMG it was terrible!!! I now know why they do not sell it anymore it was disgusting! 

Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Body Lotion - This one was not originally part of my original count of body products but I had to buy it a few weeks ago because I got a new tattoo and so I needed a fragrance free lotion. I did not like this because it was too wet/thin for me. Now a lot of people don't like Bath and Body Works lotion because they say they are not thick enough but that's bull. Bath and Body Works lotion is thicker than this. I also did not like that it took about 30 minutes for this to actually dry on my skin no matter how much I rubbed in. Like when I put my clothes on after putting my lotion on my clothes were stuck to my skin because I was still wet. I did not like it and if I get anymore tattoos I will not be buying this lotion. 

Chi 44 Iron Guard Thermal Spray - This is my favorite heat protecting spray! I have probably bought about 10 of these in the past few years because they are amazing! I use this on every single one of my clients and it works amazing on each and every one of them. I recommend this heat protectant to every one who uses heat on their hair and to all my fellow hairstylists out there!

You guys want to know a secret? I've had these empties since the last time I posted but I wanted to wait because I do not know the next time I will have an empty. Alright the secret is out now it's time to get to business.

Garnier Fructis Body Boost Shampoo - I did not use this shampoo on my hair. I feel Garnier Fructis is too harsh on my own hair but it worked just fine on my clients and on my weaves. I use it on my weaves because I only wash them about every two weeks so I need to get rid of all the buildup and oil they accumulated in that time. I also use them on my clients for kind if the same reason. Most of my clients are natural and only wash their hair a few times a month so I used it on their first wash to get rid of the buildup. On the next two washes I used a softer sulfate-free shampoo. If you have extremely oily hair then I would recommend this product and for weaves but not for dry hair it will make it worse and cause breakage.

Aromatherapy Sensual Black Currant Vanilla Lotion - This is my favorite scent from Bath & Body Works. Every time it goes on sale for $6 I grab about 6 of the lotion and 6 of the body wash, that's how much I love it. I've posted about how much I love this before but I just had to let you guys know again because its been a minute since I posted it. This scent has been empty for a while but I like the pump so I pour my other lotions into it and use it like that. But I have opened a new bottle so I'm a happy little bee.

Lee Stafford Hair Growth Treatment - This one will be quick and short. I don't like this one anymore and I'm really just trying to get rid of all the ones I have left. I have 4 left and once those are all gone I will be very happy. Give me until August and then I will be free. It does not make hair grow anymore than it would if I did not use it and I can not take the smell anymore. I would not recommend this it's a waste of money to me.

Empties!

I was trying to group my empties together but this one was found lying around so this will hopefully be the last empties with only one item in it. So here we go!

 Merry Marshmallow - I could have sworn I already did a empty on one of these before but I guess not because I could not find it lol. So I would like to tell you guys about one of my favorite scents from Bath & Body Works. I don't think they have brought it back since the year they released it but they should. The description on the bottle is "Fluffy marshmallow, gilded pear and winter jasmine, whipped with white amber and sparkling bergamot." This scent would last on my skin all day and I'm so sad it's all gone. I think I might have one more bottle but that's it. If anyone can find this on Amazon or eBay for me I would love you forever! I only have a few more months on this no buy and as soon as I'm off if I can find it I will buy about 3 more.

Conditioner galore!

So I guess in the past month I have been using more conditioner than usual because I've never had so many conditioners empty at once. With that being said let's begin.

Mielle Organics Honey Dew Berry Co-wash - Do I need to even talk about this one? I've posted it so many times and raved about it a million times it's become like a broken record. Amazing. Smells Wonderful. Use it everyday. Can't live without. I think that sums it up :).

OGX Hydrating Teatree Mint Conditioner - I bought this when I went on vacation in March and I thought I packed enough conditioner but I was so wrong so I needed to buy some while I was out there. I bought this one because of the mint, I love anything mint for my hair. I love mint because mint usually means tingle and stimulation but this one did not do that and I was very sad. The conditioner was great it left my hair soft and my curls bouncy but I wanted the tingle. I expressed my love/hate for this product on my IG and OGX commented and said their Niacin & Caffeine line would give me that tingle sensation that I'm looking for so when I try that one I'll let you guys know how I feel about that one. Other than the tingle I did not feel this was a great conditioner and I might repurchase it.

Paul Mitchell Original The Detangler Conditioner - This is the first Paul Mitchell conditioner I've ever used on myself and I loved it! It was very light and ran through my hair like butter! It left my hair super soft and extremely easy to comb through. It was an amazing product and I will most definitely be buying another bottle when my no buy is up.

Before I get into today's post I'm going to inform you guys on something different I'll be doing with  my posts. I'm going to start just grouping them together, the Bath and Body Works and the hair empties, so that I will be able to post more frequently instead of having to wait for a decent amount of each to feel like its adequate enough to post. From now on I will try to make as few posts as possible with only one item in them because that's pretty boring. Now that I've updated you guys on what's going on let's dig into my empties!

Mielle Organics Organic White Peony Leave-In Conditioner - You guys are probably tired of seeing Mielle Organics but if you have not noticed it has become my favorite line of hair products. It treats my hair very well and makes it super soft. Today's product from this line is the leave-in conditioner and it's very light weight and smells great. When I use this I use the LOC method and I use this one first. I do this method with the Mielle line almost everyday and it has my hair amazingly soft and manageable. If you prefer a spray leave-in over a cream one this would be perfect for you. If you have not tried this line yet despite all my many posts about them please do so soon! You will not regret it.

I'm back you guys! My vacation was awesome, very much needed, and a wonderful break from reality. Now back to the real world. I don't have any hair empties this time because ever since I've been back from vacation I have had a sew-in so I have not been using any hair products. Here we go!

Dove Deep Moisture Body Wash - I absolutely hated this body wash. I don't know what it was that made it terrible but after the first use I wanted to throw the whole bottle away. It didn't lather, the bottle was weird because no matter how hard i squeezed it came out so slow, and there was no scent and I need a scent. I don't know if they still sell this one but if they do stay away!

Cranberry Twinkle Body Lotion - I've already used up one of these already and I already said I liked it (I think). So I'll just put the description that's on the bottle today: "A playful blend of holiday cranberry, snowy freesia and pomegranate, layered with creamy sandalwood and iced winter violets." I love it but I think this is my last bottle if it's not then I might only have one more but that would be it. This one was released in 2013 and they haven't brought it back since so if you think you'll like it then your best bets would be eBay or Amazon.

Sparkling Pink Champagne Antibacterial Hand Soap - This one was weird to me. The initial scent when I would pump and wash my hands was great but the scent that lingered afterwards was disgusting but I think it was just me because when my friends would come over and use it they didn't smell anything afterwards. And just like the other bottles of soap there is no description on the back but they have not brought this one back either so no worries.

BBW Empties #9

Maui Hibiscus Beach Pink Sand Body Scrub - I did not like the smell of this scrub very much but of course I used it anyway. The description on the tube is "A native island blend of refreshing star fruit, tropical hibiscus and sparkling mandarin with waves of watery melon and mango wood." Now doesn't that sound like it would smell amazing? Well unfortunately it did not and I was very disappointed. I got a hint of mango and maybe a hint of melon but nothing else. I really wanted to like it. As of now my favorite scent from this line is the Hawaii scent. Now that one smells like heaven. They usually bring this line back at the beginning of summer so if they bring it back this year go smell it for yourself and maybe you'll like it but I didn't.

Hair Empties #11

I'm a little late with this post but I tried to use up as much as I could so I could post something before I went on vacation. So here we go!

Lee Stafford Hair Growth Treatment - This is a staple as you guys know because this is about my third or fourth tub of this and I have about four more but after I finish those I don't think I'll be buying anymore. It does make my hair soft and easier to comb through but I do not see a difference in length and I've been using it long enough to notice a difference so I am a little disappointed. So after I finish these up I won't be buying anymore. 

Mielle Organics Babassu Oil & Mint Deep Conditioning Protein Treatment - Now you guys no I'm transitioning over to the brand Mielle Organics because it's amazing and I've been posting about the co-wash and recently the hair milk. Well today I'm going to be talking about the deep conditioner from this brand. I use this deep conditioner about once every two weeks and my hair gets better every time. Of course I wash my hair twice and then i just comb through regular conditioner and rinse out immediately and then I put this on and comb it through and put a cap on and leave it on for about 2 hours. It feels amazing. Because of the mint it makes your scalp tingle and I love it! It makes my scalp feel so rejuvenated and clean and wonderful. So of course you guys no I recommend this as I do all the Mielle products.

I only have one empty this week but it's okay I'll hopefully have more next time. Let's get started!

Mielle Organics Avocado Moisturizing HairMilk - Now you guys hear me talk about the Mielle Organics Honey Dew Berry Co-wash a lot and how I use it everyday well I use this one everyday as well. The bottle says "The Ultra Moisturizing Hair Milk To Fully Add Moisture & Shine". I don't know about shine because I don't pay attention to shine when it comes to my hair but the moisturizing part is 1000% true. My hair has never been as soft as it is with this hair milk. I have tried other hair milks and they are okay but they still leave my hair a little hard and dry but not this one. The founder of Mielle Organics knew what she was doing when she made this. I am a customer for life! If you guys find your hair dry or hard after using a product that says it was supposed to moisturize your hair then go ahead and try this. This brand is now in Sally's Beauty Supply but not all of them so ask the manager if they carry it.

Hair Empties #9

Today I only have hair empties but it's okay because I used up 3 things this time. So let us begin!

Sebastian Drench Deep Moisturizing Treatment - I started using this treatment back in beauty school because it's one of the ones the school used and I had never heard of it. After just one use I fell in love and after 2 years it has not forsaken me. Unfortunately this is my last bottle but when I can I will go to Ulta and buy about 3 of them.
Mielle Organics Honey Dew Berry Co-wash - This is my holy grail co-wash and you guys know that. For those who don't know I use this every day. It cleanses my hair without drying it out and I have had to repurchase this one during my no buy because it has run out on me and I cannot live without this. 

Colaura by Design Essentials Semi-permanent Conditioning Hair Color - So yes I color my hair because since the ripe age of 13 I have had grey hairs. So I have been coloring my hair since and I recently have been coloring it back black instead of crazy colors like I used to. This is also a brand I never used or even heard of before beauty school. I never used it on myself but on the clients that I worked on in school. I hated it on their hair and I hated it on mine. It somehow tangled up my hair to the point where it was matted in a few spots and dried it out like no other. I will never use this on myself or anyone else again. If you've used it and liked it then good for you but for me this was a big no no.

Hair Empties #8

Today's empties are kind of weird because they both have been empty for a while but I was putting other products into both of them. 

Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Mask - This mask smells heavenly and it was a Youtube favorite for a long time with all the beauty bloggers and I loved it halfway through but after that it's like it stopped working on my hair. And you know how they say your hair becomes immune to products if you use them too long? Well that's what I thought happened so I stopped using it for about a month and went back to it and it still did not work like it used to so I did it again and waited another month before I used it again and still the same thing. So I just hurried up and finished it off and started putting my sample deep conditioners into it. I don't know why it stopped working on my hair I wish there was a reason because I really loved it in the beginning and it smells amazing. The smell alone makes me want to buy another one but then I remember it's not going to work :(. 

If you've tried it before let me know how it worked for you and if it ever stopped working.

BBW Empties #8

I'm back this time, I hope, in a timely fashion. But after today I do not know when I will be back because I do not have anything that is close to being empty lol. So Fingers crossed and let's dive in to what I've got today!

Aromatherapy Sensual: Black Currant Vanilla - This is my all time favorite scent from Bath & Body Works. Be Enchanted is second but this one is heaven!!! If they ever stopped selling this my heart would literally break. There is no description on this bottle for me to give you guys but just trust me on this that this scent is the best they have in the store. Next time you guys go to BBW just stop and smell it even if you don't buy it right then and there just smell it so you can see how amazing it is. 

P.S. This bottle has been empty but I've been pouring other lotions into it so I can use the pump.

Hair Empties #7

This will be a short post because you guys have already seen these two before so let us begin!

Lee Stafford Breaking Hair Treatment - Ok I kind of told a story because you guys have not seen this one before but you saw his sister the Lee Stafford Hair Growth Treatment. In my opinion this worked exactly the same. It smells the same, it felt the same, the texture was the same and when I rinsed it out my hair felt the same. But since it wasn't the hair growth treatment I did not check to see if there was a difference in length. Other than that everything was the same.

Mielle Organics Honey Dew Berry Co-Wash - As always I love this stuff it makes my hair soft and clean at the same time. I use it everyday when my hair is curly (but right now I'm wearing it straight for a while). Have purchased many bottles of this and will continue to purchase many bottles of this unless someone comes along with something better.

These two products are the only ones that I buy during this time of no buy because they run out so fast and I refuse to use anything else in replace of them. But that's all for today guys, I'll be back with more empties soon!

BBW Empties #7

Don't be mad at me guys, I know it's been almost a month since I've posted something but I've just been so busy but I'm back on my game now. First off let me start by saying Happy New Year! One of my New Year's Resolutions was to post more (I know I'm doing terrible so far) but I will be posting more from here on out. Let's get started!

Cranberry Twinkle Body Lotion - I started using this one due to the holidays and I loved it! The description is "A playful blend of holiday cranberry, snowy freesia and pomegranate, layered with creamy sandalwood and iced winter violets". The two I smell the most are the cranberry and the pomegranate. I can smell a hint of the sandalwood but not too much. This scent was probably from 2012 or 2013 not quite sure but I ordered another one about a year ago and I had to find it on eBay. So if you want you can find it on eBay but I don't think you will be able to find it in any store. If you can find it I would highly recommend you get one. You will absolutely love it. And you can wear it anytime, it's not just a holiday smell.
