Winner! Winner! Winner!

You know how people say they never win anything? Well that's the story of my life. I have entered countless sweepstakes, giveaways, drawings, etc. and have not won any of them. Well you guys know that over the holidays a lot of companies do giveaways and stuff so I dang near entered all of them. One of them specifically was the Carol's Daughter #CarolMetSallyIG $100 shopping spree. The rules were you had to be following them on Instagram of course and you had to tag a friend in the comments who you also wanted to win the giveaway. So it would be 2 people both getting a $100 shopping spree from Carol's daughter. Well one of my friends tagged me and I tagged her and even though we tagged each other I still did not feel we would win the giveaway. Not gonna lie kind of forgot about it until the next morning I wake up and have a notification from my Instagram saying "Congratulations you're a winner!!!!!". And I screamed my head off! To some it might not seem big but I literally never win anything so to have won something, especially a $100 shopping spree is amazing. So I got the Hair Milk Cleansing Conditioner, Hair Milk Leave-In Moisturizer, Sacred Tiare Fortifying Conditioner, Black Vanilla Hydrating Conditioner, Mirabelle Plum Shampoo and Conditioner, and 2 Mirabelle Plum Weightless Hair Masks. I cannot wait to try all of them and of course I'll give you a guys a review!

Hair Tip!

So from now on if I only have one post then I'm going to start posting hair tips for you guys. People ask me all the time what I do and what I use. Well since I already show you guys what I use then I'll tell you little by little what I do.

Moisture comes from water not products. So make sure your products have water within its ingredients.

This tip I live by! I wet my hair every morning and I use products with water as the very first ingredient. I have noticed a big difference from when I was only wetting my hair every 3-4 days. Now not everyone's hair will respond well to wetting it everyday so find what works for you and stick with it. Just don't load up on products thinking it will help, it won't! It will only weigh down your hair and make it look greasy (unless you're going for that look then be my guest). 

This may not seem like that big of a tip but just start adding more water into your routine and let me know what happens.

BBW Empties #6!

Only one empty this time and it is another Bath & Body Works empty. I feel like I should be using more products than I am lol. Maybe I'm just going crazy :). Let's get to it!

Pure Paradise Body Lotion - This lotion was alright. The smell was not strong at all. I could barely smell it when I was putting it on so I'm pretty sure when I left the house no one else could smell me. The key notes are: Fresh Star Fruit, Juicy Guava,Dewy Cassis, Luscious Gardenia, Frangipani, Watery Lily, White Musk, Blond Woods, and Sun-kissed coconut. Now you would think with all of those things it's supposed to smell like that it would be strong and wonderful but it was not. It was very, very light. Only well you would smell all of that is if you stuck your whole nose in the lotion. My little brother had the body wash and it smelled wonderful and was really strong but not the lotion. I don't know what happened but I'm glad this is my only bottle, I think.....hopefully.

If you've ever used the lotion and had a different experience let me know please. Maybe I just had a bad bottle or something.

BBW Empties #5!

I only have Bath & Body Works empties?! How can this be?! Are pigs flying? Has hell frozen over? No? Well maybe it was just time to get rid of some stuff lol. Anyways let's jump right in!

Hawaii Passionfruit Kiss Pink Sand Body Scrub - I always loved the smell of the Hawaii scent from this collection so I have it in everything except the body spray because I have too many of those already. The key notes are: Kona Mountain Passionfruit, luscious kiwi and Hawaiian red pineapple kissed with white papaya blossom and creamy macadamia. They brought this scent out during the last two summers so hopefully they bring it back again this summer because I think I have one more scrub of this and only a few lotions. I highly recommend this scent.

'Tis The Season Anti-Bacterial Foaming Hand Soap - They bring this scent back every holiday season and if you smelled it you would know why. If Christmas had a smell then this would be it. It does not show the key notes but trust me it smells amazing. Since the holidays are coming up I'm pretty sure they have it back in the stores so if you are close to a Bath & Body Works go smell this, I highly recommend it. If you end up liking it buy a few of them because they go quick.

BBW Empties #4!

Once again there's only one Bath & Body Works empty but it is one of my favorites so here we go!

A Thousand Wishes Shimmer Swirl Lotion - I don't use this as an everyday lotion but more as a relaxing night time lotion. I probably used this once or twice a week and after each application I could not stop staring at my skin because I love glitter lol. So that fact that my skin was glittery was like heaven to me! I have one more of this one specifically and about 10 in almost all of last year's holiday scents. If you have not smelled this scent The key notes are: Pink Prosecco, Sparkling Quince, Crystal Peonies, Gilded Amber, Amaretto Creme. I have no idea what those smell like individually but together it's amazing! If you have smelled this scent before and liked it and did not get it in the shimmer lotion then I encourage you to go get some. I think they still sell it. I saw it in a store close to me but you guys know that not all the stores carry the same things.

Hair Empties #6!

It's that time again! I don't know how I always end up with so many hair empties so fast but I do. We have two yet again this time and without further adieu, let us begin.

Design Essentials Express Instant Moisturizing Conditioner - An easy way to explain this is its basically a higher end version of the Aussie 3-minute miracle moist. You put it on for about 1-3 minutes after you shampoo your hair and I absolutely love this stuff. I leave it on longer than 3 minutes because i do all that stuff when I first get in the shower and then I bathe and then rinse it out before I get out so it's probably in my hair for about 10 minutes. This is one of my holy grail conditioners and it will always and forever be in my routine.

Herbal Essence Hello Hydration - This is a great conditioner for co-washing. For those who don't know what co-washing is, co-washing is washing your hair with conditioner instead of shampoo. I co-wash everyday because my hair thrives the best when I do that. Some people only do it once a week and some people do it a few times a week it's up to your hair and what's best for you. I've heard so many great things about this conditioner online and in the blogs and even my brothers and dad used it so I finally decided to give it a try and I see why people love it. This might have to become a staple in my routine from now on.

Now that I'm on this no buy I have been able to weed out the stuff that I like and don't like for my hair. So I am very happy I made the deal because my hair stash is shrinking rapidly.

BBW Empties #3!

Yes you read it right, I finally have another Bath & Body Works empty!! Even though it's only one its still something lol.

Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin - This one is about 2 years old and I am just now using it lol. I did not like the smell of it at first just smelling it out of the bottle but on the skin it is a lovely light fall/pumpkin scent. I would definitely repurchase if I was not on a no buy. For those of you who are good at figuring out smell from a description here you go: A cozy blend of fresh pumpkin, crisp apple and spiced vanilla. I know they are selling it in the stores now like they do every fall so if you would like to try it I would highly suggest you go get it now!

Hair Empties #5!

Hello lovely people! I missed you guys :). This week I only have one empty hair product but I'm sure the next time there will be more. Let's do this!

Moore Unique Leave-In Hair Conditioner - My hairstylist recommended this for me about 3 years ago for my alopecia spot and said it would help the hair grow back. I've been using it since and no luck and it makes my hair feel terrible so this will be my last bottle and I will not be buying anymore. If you guys have any leave-in recommendations for me I would love to hear them and I will try them as soon as my no buy is up lol.

Hair Empties #4!

I'm back you guys and once again I only have hair empties this time but I have 2 to share with you guys so here we go!

Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Treat Invigorating Shampoo - I had both the shampoo and conditioner but I ran out of the conditioner way before I started this blog lol. I loved the conditioner and hoped I would love the shampoo but I don't. The conditioner was very invigorating and made my scalp tingle and made my hair feel amazing. But the shampoo did not tingle liked I had hoped it would. It also had a weird smell to it. The conditioner had a sort of minty smell but the shampoo had a plastic kind of smell to it. I don't know if I just had a bad bottle or something but I did not like it. I have one more shampoo and conditioner in the set and when I get to them I'll let you guys know if that shampoo was any better. If not then I know it's just the shampoo that I don't like.

Lee Stafford Hair Growth Treatment - This treatment is supposed to promote hair growth and retention. It's supposed to help people who's hair they think does not grow past a certain length. I don't know if it help with that because my hair is shorter right now than what it usually is but I can tell you that it is an amazing treatment for in between your shampoo and conditioner. You're only supposed to leave in on for about five minutes after you shampoo and then rinse and condition as you normally would. The first time I used this I didn't notice a difference but I continued to use it every time after I washed my hair like the directions and after about 3 uses I started feeling a difference. My hair was becoming softer and more manageable. I have about 6 more on deck so I'll let you guys know if I start noticing any growth differences. I love this, would continue to buy this and recommend this to any and everybody. 

Hopefully next time I'll have some Bath & Body Works empties next time!

Hair Empties #3!

Unfortunately I have not gone through much since the last time I posted but I still wanted to post something so here it goes. 

Ion Repair Solutions Effective Care Treatment - This is another one of those where I haven't actually used yet but I put into another container so it was easier to use. All I can give you now is that it has absolutely no smell to it which was disappointing to me. I like treatments to have some kind of smell to them. Even if it's just a light one, this one had zero smell.

I know this isn't much but it's all I used since the last time I posted so hopefully there will be more the next time. Thanks for reading even though this wasn't much.

BBW Empties #2!

I combined this BBW empties with a makeup empty just so it won't be just one item again. So here we go!

Honey Sweetheart Body Lotion - This is from the Sweethearts collection from about 2 years ago and if I would have known that this one smelled like this I would have gotten at least 3 or 4 instead of just one. This scent is described as "Honeyed violets sprinkled with pink sugar". I actually just finished this one about 15 minutes ago and I'm still so sad it's empty :(. When this year is over and I can buy again I will most definitely search for this one on like eBay and Amazon. That's how amazing it was. If you guys want to try it that's the only way I know how you guys can get it unless you have an outlet near you that might carry it.

Urban Decay Perversion Mascara - I got this mascara as a gift with purchase when I bought one of their big palettes. I don't remember what the name of it is. unfortunately. I wanna say the Book Of Shadows IV but I could be wrong lol. This mascara was amazing!! I used it until the very last drop! I don't think I would ever purchase it by itself but if I got it with another palette I would be extremely happy lol. You guys should definitely give it a try!

Hair Empties #2!

I'm back babies and with more hair empties for you guys. So once again I've gone through 2 of the, both conditioners. So let me stop rambling and let's get into it.

Garnier Fructis Body Boost Conditioner - I used to love Garnier Fructis shampoos and conditioners. They used to leave my hair so soft and manageable but now its like they don't do anything. I was super excited when I got to the bottom of this. Unfortunately I have about 6 more bottles of different Garnier Fructis lines so I'm kind of dreading using those but I know I have to lol.

Neutrogena Triple Moisture Deep Recovery Mask - This was an okay mask. This was actually the first hair mask I ever bought and I loved it when I first used it because I had never used a hair mask before but now that I've used way better masks I don't think I would buy this one again. I have about one more maybe two but their so little it will be a breeze to go through lol. 

I would not recommend either one of these two to anyone.

BBW Empties!

Now I only went through one Bath & Body Works product since I started the blog but 2 are almost done so the next time I blog there will be more lol.

Be Enchanted Lotion - This is my favorite scent from Bath and Body Works ever! I'm so sad that when I need more of this I have to order it online but it's ok. As long as they continue to sell it, even if it is online, then I'm happy. To describe this scent the best I can I will just tell you what the back of the bottle says lol. "This enchanting scent is a sparkling blend of iced pomegranate, sugared petals and chilled passionfruit frosted with notes of whipped vanilla and light musk." I have no idea what those individual things smell like besides the vanilla but altogether it smells sssooo good. If you have not tried this scent you definitely have to.

Hair Empties!

I am so excited to be doing my first empties post! I have emptied a whole lot since I started this blog but I'm only going to do a few at a time. So I'm breaking up today's lot between hair products and Bath & Body Works products. So let's get started. 

Olive Oil Replenishing Pak - now I have not actually used this one up lol. I emptied it into another one of my empty deep conditioner containers because I don't like these little squeeze packs. But unfortunately some of the stuff I want to try does not come in a container. Or maybe the beauty supplies around me just don't carry them. So when I actually do try it I will give you guys an update.

 Mielle Organics Dew Berry Co-wash - So I first heard about this company through Rasheeda from Love and Hip Hop Atlanta's Instagram and I started following the company's page. Then after seeing all the testimonies from thousands of people and decided to give it a try. This was my first bottle of any of their products that I tried and Oh. My. Gosh. I fell in love. It smells wonderful and it left my hair sssooo soft after using. I have about 3-4 backups so I'm going to use them sparingly over the next year because this one bottle only lasted me about 2 weeks.

Players are you ready?!

So I figured that in order to start the process I need to know what I have to know if I've made progress in the end. So I took a "head count" and I have 302 Bath and Body Works products (not including the body sprays). I did not include the body spray because I have not bought a body spray in about 2 years so I felt like those weren't as important as the body product because I constantly buy those. Now onto the hair products. I counted 203 hair products and I included everything from shampoos and conditioners all the way to heat protectants and oils and everything in between. Now we have a starting point, let the journey begin!

Hello World,
My name is Paige. This blog is going to be about me and my struggle of not buying Bath and Body Works or hair products for a year. I am a certified products junkie who was getting packages everyday and coming home with bags of products every week. So the deal was made with my aunt 2 days ago on August 15, 2015 so its been 2 days and I'm already dying inside! So I figured blogging was a way to help me get through this so this blog will mostly about me showing you my empties every month and my thoughts on all the products I've gone through. There most likely won't be any hauls until after August 15, 2016 because I have a lot of stuff lol. If there is ever a haul before that then I will have had to be completely out of something and had to stock up.
